Forensic Nursing Certificate
Designed for nurses that are already registered, the Forensic Nursing Certificate is intended to provide the groundwork of knowledge and practical skills that are necessary to utilize in order to satisfy the health care needs of law enforcement agencies and criminal justice departments.
Forensic nurses work closely with detectives at crime scenes, by collecting biological evidence and sampling it. They also treat victims of assault, accidents and other violent abuse. In this exciting position, forensic nurses also may be asked to identify specific injuries and/or death and its causes, and refer victims for appropriate follow-up care. |
