Forensic Nursing Certificate

Designed for nurses that are already registered, the Forensic Nursing Certificate is intended to provide the groundwork of knowledge and practical skills that are necessary to utilize in order to satisfy the health care needs of law enforcement agencies and criminal justice departments.

Forensic nurses work closely with detectives at crime scenes, by collecting biological evidence and sampling it. They also treat victims of assault, accidents and other violent abuse. In this exciting position, forensic nurses also may be asked to identify specific injuries and/or death and its causes, and refer victims for appropriate follow-up care.
 

Accelerated Option

KCE now offers a Forensic Nursing Certificate—Accelerated Option. For those who are interested in completing their program in a shorter amount of time, our accelerated study plan could put you on the fast track. The accelerated option can be completed in 4 months.
