Medical Office Specialist Certificate

Medical office specialists provide critical services for the efficient and profitable operation of physician's offices, clinics, dental offices, medical labs, and other medical facilities. Federal regulations, rapidly changing health care policies and the growing need for quality health care require that medical office specialists be familiar with basic medical terminology, medical records management, privacy laws, insurance rules, basic billing practices, insurance coding, and financial management. The KCE Medical Office Specialist Certificate is designed to provide students with the administrative skills they will need to develop the skills and knowledge that are necessary in becoming competent, confident, and successful medical office specialists. Six courses to be completed in 12 months or less.
